Hello and welcome to the Minis and Junior Section of Milton Keynes Rugby Club!

Hello and welcome to the Minis and Junior Section of Milton Keynes Rugby Club!

As the Chairman I have the pleasure of overseeing nearly 300 boys and girls through their rugby journey, from the Super 6s taking their first tentative steps onto the pitch, through to the Academy players who are soon to experience Senior rugby.

This job is made easy by the fantastic group of coaches and volunteers who keep the section running smoothly and make training and match days enjoyable for the players.

We are always welcoming new players, coaches and volunteers at the club, you’ll be sure to receive a warm welcome and introduction to everything you will need. We have excellent facilities here that are open for all to enjoy. So if you’re thinking about getting involved – fill out the contact form and we’ll be in touch!

I look forward to seeing you at the club!

Best Wishes,

Adam Curtis

MKRUFC Minis and Juniors Chairman

Minis and Juniors at MKRUFC

The Minis and Juniors section is the foundation of MKRUFC and offers a welcoming place for children to learn rugby in a fun and positive setting. Sessions are designed around enjoyment, teamwork, and gradual skill development, ensuring every child can take part at a level that suits them. Coaches focus on building confidence, supporting personal growth, and helping young players understand the values of the game.

Training includes simple drills, movement skills, ball handling, and small-sided games that keep children active and involved. Safety and wellbeing are always top priorities, with an emphasis on creating a relaxed atmosphere where players can learn and develop without pressure. Families play a key role in the Minis and Juniors community, and parents are encouraged to support sessions, join events, and be part of a friendly club environment.

As players progress through the age groups, they build the foundation they need to enjoy the sport long term, eventually moving into the Academy and beyond. The emphasis is always on enjoyment and giving every child the chance to grow at their own pace.

Training Times

Our Minis and Juniors sessions focus on fun, learning, and helping children build confidence through activity. Training is age-appropriate, well structured, and designed to keep players engaged and enjoying every moment on the pitch.

Children of all experience levels are welcome, and coaches work closely with families to ensure a positive and supportive introduction to rugby.
